SPS was contracted to respond as a Prime Subcontract Tier One to the Prime Contractor to its first Temporary Roof Repair mission in Florida. SPS collectively deployed a roofing team of approximately 300 installers/employees across four separate contracts throughout the pan handle and Eastern Coast line of Florida. Approximately 12 million square feet of blue plastic was installed covering damage resulting from Hurricane Charlie, Frances, Ivan and Jeanne. SPS was required to handle all aspects of this mission including:

  •     Mobilization and Deployment of 60 crews within 5 days of NTP
  •     Mobilizing and setup for installation of blue tarp from Pensacola to Orlando and multiple
  •     cities in between.
  •     Responded successfully to orders given to reposition our crews in 24 hours from Pensacola to Orlando.
  •     Respond to, in cooperation with the Prime Contractor, multiple changes in procedures and policies during mission.
  •     Provide Workers Compensation and General Liability Insurance
  •     Submit to Prime Contractor Certified Payroll for each employee on project on a week by week basis until project was completed
  •     Report to Prime Contractor three times per day:
    •         Production report
    •         Crew Attendance Report · Tracking and inventory of all material used and plastic waste
  •     Work side by side with Prime assigned
  •     QC and USACE assigned QA on measurements and sign-off of all ROE’s installed Provide weekly invoices, releases, and required documents to Prime for payment request.
  •     Issue Square Footage Bonus checks to all Tier One contractors under SPS
  •     Participated in a DOL audit of Certified Payroll reporting after project was complete.

SPS was contracted in response to Hurricane Katrina, by Crown Roofing Services to respond to the project requiring the removal and replacement of hurricane damaged flat roofs to high secure areas in Kessler Air force Base in Kenner LA and Bell Chase in New Orleans LA.

During the project of these roof replacements, SPS was contracted by LJC Defense Contracting, Allen Buchanan (VP Operations), to assist in Temporary Roof Repair mission for New Orleans and its surrounding areas. SPS was given special secure access to federally protected areas in support of this mission.

AT OUR ATTEMPT TO CONTACT ANY OF OUR POC’S FOR THIS PROJECT and THEIR REFERENCE, WE WERE UNSUCCESSFUL.

SPS was successful in mobilizing 250 men in 72 hours to Kenner LA. Within 5 days of NTP, SPS deployed 550 men to the area and began training under the OSHA contracted guidelines and requirements. A ball park was commandeered in agreement with the city of Kenner LA and housing was set up for all men. This camp site was complete with showers, toilets, marquee tent and cots.

SPS successfully installed approximately 10 million square feet for LJC Defense Contracting across the state of Louisiana and Texas for Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita. SPS was required by LJC to handle all aspects of this mission including:

  • Mobilization and Deployment of approximately 130 crews within 5 days of NTP Mobilizing and setup for installation of blue tarp in New Orleans and all of the surrounding areas.
  • Successfully responded to orders from LJC to expand operation in response to Hurricane Rita in East Texas.
  • Deployed and Mobilized an Operations Manager and Project Manager along with 30 crews to East Texas to begin the second wing of SPS operations for 2005, while still maintaining full
  • operations in New Orleans.Respond to, in cooperation with the Prime Contractor, multiple changes in procedures and policies during mission.
  • Provide Workers Compensation and General Liability Insurance for approx. 550 employees.
  • Processed payroll for approximately 550 employees and a week by week basis
  • for the duration of 12 weeks.
  • Issued to Prime Contractor Certified Payroll for each employee on project on a week by week basis until project was completed
  • Report to Prime Contractor each day:
    •     Production report
    •  Crew Attendance Report
    •     ROE counts and square feet totals
    •     Database reports showing completed, failed, DSQ and Reassessed ROE status to Prime contractor
  • Was responsible for troubleshooting on all outstanding issues on ROE’s not completed by normal standards.
  • Tracking and inventory of all material used and plastic waste
  • Work side by side with Prime assigned QC and USACE assigned QA on measurements
  • and sign-off of all ROE’s installed
  • Provide weekly invoices, releases, and required documents to Prime for payment request.

  • Participated in a DOL audit of Certified Payroll reporting after project was complete.
  • Successfully assisted Laura Clark in DCAA audit and was instrumental in negotiations with DCAA in settlement of "USACE OVER INVOICED" debate.

After landfall of Hurricane Wilma, SPS was contracted by Thomco Enterprises, RL Campbell Roofing and Crown Roofing Services (see contact info above) to assist in response to damage in Ft
Lauderdale, its surrounding areas and Naples Florida. There SPS successfully installed approximately 3 million square feet. SPS was equally responsible for
all tasks as listed above for this project.

In 2005, SPS concurrently operated and managed four separate contracts across three separate states and was successful its installation, administration, auditing, re-measuring and wrap up of all projects mentioned.

2008 Hurricane Gustav and Ike- Louisiana and Texas

In the wake of Hurricane Gustav, SPS was contracted by Thomco Enterprises to assist in support of their Prime Subcontract agreement with Crown Roofing Services in Houma LA. SPS was Thomco’s only Tier One contractor and was 100% responsible for installation of over 600,000 square feet across Houma and its surrounding areas.

After the landfall of Hurricane Ike, SPS responded to a NTP in support of a Temporary Roof Repair mission with Crown Roofing Services in Houston. SPS successfully installed approx 850,000square feet in the entire Houston and Eastern Coastline areas.
